The Atohm GT SW2 subwoofer is equipped with two Atohm speakers of 23 cm diameter, with powerful motors and a 500 Watts RMS amplifier. The Atohm GT SW2 is a closed model designed to produce a very loud volume while distilling a very articulated sound signal. Its cabinetry very thick, curved and internal reinforcements provides excellent damping. Strong point of this box, his speakers of 23 cm signed Atohm. Their particularity is based on their magnet whose diameter is close to that of the membrane. This motorization ensures an excellent transient regime which moreover is on a high excursion range: +/- 1,5 cm. Atohm subwoofer amplification uses BO Ice Power power modules, capable of delivering up to 500 Watts. The built-in active filter gives the user the choice to adjust the high cutoff frequency from 38 to 150 Hz, or even to be fully disabled in order to entrust the filtering to a home theater amp. The frequency response of the Atohm GT SW2 subwoofer ranges from 23 Hz to 150 Hz. Thanks to X-Gard technology, the speaker excursion is under surveillance and never exceeds the mechanical limits of the transducer. By means of the intermediate size of its bass speakers, the Atohm GT SW2 subwoofer reproduces a fast and fluid bass register, thus suitable for hi-fi listening and of course home cinema.
